Ok, let's back to the actual topic. Recipe sharing again. sorry for not updating regularly. I'm not sure am i own any supportive reader. If i do, you can visit my instagram  for the most latest updating.

this chocolate orange cake was made purposely for Mother's day celebration. Sorry for the very very overdue post, And messy outlook on the cake too!

The initial idea in my mind was pearly white chocolate ganache drizzling nicely all over the top of my orange cake, then the side was decorated with candied orange slice. But the outcome is the one which shows on the picture above. Haiz.... I'm kinda fail in decoration lol.

Orange cake is baked by using rice cooker, which is my favorite baking tools. Do visit this page for more baking recipe with rice cooker.

Ingredient:
  • 85g unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 50g brown sugar
  • 2 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup + 1/4 cup Self Raising Flour
  • 180g milk chocolate (break into small pieces)
  • 1 orange (small to medium)
Top:
  • 100g white chocolate + 100ml whipping cream
  • Shreded Orange skin

Shred the orange skin with grater.

Next, squeeze all the orange juice, approximately a cup around 250ml. And then set aside.

Creaming butter&sugar until fluffy.
Add beaten eggs. Mix well.
Fold in flour with orange juice alternatively.
Add milk chocolate, mix gently. Do not over mixing the batter.
Pour the batter into well greased rice cooker bowl. Bake for 30mins.
Break the white chocolate into small pieces.
Boil the whipping cream, then pour into the white chocolate. Leave it for about five minute.

Whisk the mixture until it is well combine.

Pour the mixture over the cake, sprinkle the side with shredded orange skin.

这个蛋糕得到很好的评价。蛋糕本身不会很甜,而且很香橙味,跟巧克力超搭。
怕甜和奶味的话可以去掉那白巧克力ganache。《----- 婆婆也不爱它!好像不deco更好。^^
