SPONSOR POST: Nestle Natural Set Yogurt - Blogger Recipe Challenge

When I received an email from Nuffnang about this challenge, I was studded for a few second, because I hardly believe I was chosen! I can’t wait to share with your guys my recipe with Nestle Natural Set Yogurt.

Firstly, why you should choose Nestlé Natural Set Yogurt?

The reason is …

  • Low fat
  • No sugar added
  • No coloring
  • Contain high calcium
  • Only 57kcal per 100g serving (such a good news for dieter like me!)

Since I’m a dessert lover, first recipe came across my mind is Rice Cooker Yogurt Cake.

Let’s start preparing the ingredient, what you need is:

1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tspn salt
1 tspn baking powder
4 eggs, whites and yolks separated
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil + a few drops to grease the rice cooker bowl
1 cup (200g) NESTLE NATURAL SET YOGURT, at room temperature

Grease the rice cooker bowl with vegetable oil.

Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.  Set aside.

Whisk egg whites with sugar until soft-medium peak as shown below.

Add egg yolks and whisk gently to incorporate.

In a separate bowl, whisk yogurt to soften.  Then add in oil, whisk until combine and become one creamy mixture.

Mix in 1/2 of the yogurt cream to the egg white meringue first, and then fold in the rest gently.

Gently fold in 1/2 of the flour mix into egg meringue first. Then, fold the rest until no trace of flour.  Do not over mix!

Pour the batter into the greased rice cooker bowl.  Tap the side of the bowl to release big air bubbles.  Place the bowl in the rice cooker.

Press 'Bake' for 40 minutes if your rice cooker has the option.  Alternatively, 'Cook' twice, i.e., press 'cook' and when it's done, press 'Cook' again.  You might have to wait for the rice cooker to cool a bit before starting the second run in case of some older/simpler rice cookers.

When it's done, flip gently on a plate.  Let it cool to room temperature before serving. Otherwise, you may cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight to allow time to moisten and its flavors to settle before serving.

The cake texture is so light& fluffy, resemble Japanese soft cheese cake which in low calories version. I reckon I can have more without guilt …  (:
